Antonio Sekulic, RSC Anderlecht futsal player, analyzes the Belgian club’s successful campaign and assesses his first experience away from home
1. Champions of the Belgian league and the Belgian cup with solvency. What is your assessment of the national tournaments?
I think we deservedly won the title and showed that we are the best, and I hope that the league will get better and better in the future.
2. Elite Round in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, very close to the Final Four. What do you think you lacked to reach the final phase?
I think we did very well in Europe and played two very good groups, but in the end we still had to congratulate Sporting CP.
3. First season away from Croatia in a historical club in the European sport. How did you feel in RSC Anderlecht?
First of all, it is an honor to play for the first time in such a big club, in the beginning I had problems with adaptation, but in the end everything ended well.
4. 27 goals in almost 40 games, spectacular numbers. How would you define your season beyond the goals?
I’m happy with my numbers, but I think it could have been better, I hope next year will be better.
5. Individually and collectively, what are your goals for the coming season?
I hope we will make a breakthrough in Europe and that I will achieve the best possible numbers.
