Antonio Sekulic, new Anderlecht player, assesses his incorporation into the Belgian champions and his aspirations in this new phase
- You arrive at RSCA Futsal, one of the best teams in Europe and with a great project at continental level. What does it mean for you to land at Anderlecht?
Certainly, coming to a club like Anderlecht is a great honor, pleasure and responsibility, but also a reward for my efforts and work so far.
- After winning the Croatian Cup with MNK Olmissum, you arrive at the Belgian League, Cup and Supercup champions. What is your main objective for the coming season?
Coming to a club that always aims for trophies, my ambitions are also at the highest possible level, I want to win trophies with Anderlecht and if possible, enter the F4 Champions League.
- Many seasons later, you decide to move to Belgium and leave your home country, Croatia. What does it mean for you?
It’s certainly a big change for me and I’ll be playing outside my home country for the first time, but I was eager for new challenges and I’m ready for it!
- What do you think this experience can give you on a personal level?
I hope that the new experience will be positive for me, that I will learn even more about futsal and make new friends.
- You leave Croatian futsal behind and join Belgian futsal. How do you think they are different?
I think there is a lot of difference because in the Croatian league every year a lot of teams have championship aspirations, while in Belgium Anderlecht has dominated all competitions for years and it will be interesting to find ourselves in such an environment.
