Khan Chan, CEO of Proneo Asia, analyzes the business vision in the Asian market and the different keys in the expansion of our company’s services.
1. Proneo Asia is born after more than 15 years of experience in the sports representation sector worldwide. What do you think Proneo Asia can bring to the agency?
Proneo Asia brings a unique blend of global expertise and local understanding. We combine deep knowledge of high-level professional football, futsal, and sports management from Europe and other continents with strong relationships and cultural fluency across Asia. This allows us to bridge the gap between world-class talent and the growing ambitions of Asian clubs, federations, and stakeholders.
2. The Asian sports market is opening up in many sectors, what is the company’s main objective in this territory?
Our main objective is to become the trusted partner for clubs, federations, and players who want to elevate their game in Asia. Whether it’s providing technical staff, developing grassroots projects, or facilitating player transfers, we aim to deliver tailored, sustainable solutions that help Asian football and futsal grow competitively and structurally. We’re here for long-term development, not just quick deals.
3. We have already seen the first movements in well-known clubs in Vietnam. What is the company’s strategy on the Asian continent?
Our strategy focuses on building solid, long-term partnerships. Vietnam is a great example: we’ve deployed technical teams with proven experience in European football to bring modern methodologies and raise standards. But we’re not limited to Vietnam — we’re exploring similar partnerships across Southeast Asia and East Asia. The idea is to integrate global know-how into local contexts, respecting local cultures and ambitions.
4. Within the framework of this new line of work, the figure of Khan Chan has appeared. What is your role and what can you contribute in the field?
As a trusted partner in the Asian market, my role is to connect all the dots: clubs, federations, players, and technical experts. I bring market insights, negotiation skills, and cultural understanding that help projects succeed on both business and sporting levels. I’m also here to ensure that any foreign talent or project integrates smoothly into the local football ecosystem, creating mutual benefits.
5. From another point of view, what can Proneo Asia bring to Asian sport?
We can bring professionalization, innovation, and credibility. Asian sport is growing fast, but there’s still a gap in certain areas like technical development, sports science, and international networking. Proneo Asia can help close that gap by transferring proven methods, building infrastructure projects, and creating pathways for local talent to shine — both at home and potentially abroad.
6. What do you think are the keys to achieving a positive impact on this market?
The key is respect — respect for local culture, football realities, and business practices. Also, patience and consistency are crucial. You can’t expect overnight success; sustainable projects need time and commitment. Finally, you must bring real value: not just players or coaches, but knowledge transfer, education, and a genuine partnership mentality. That’s how you make a lasting impact in the Asian market.
