Rostyslav Semenchenko, KS Eurobus Przemysl and Ukraine national team player, analyses the team’s current situation and assesses its future objectives
1. A magnificent season for KS Eurobus Przemysl, sitting in first place with five games remaining. How do you see the team doing?
It’s too early to celebrate, as this is only the end of the regular season, and the most exciting part of the season is still to come: the playoffs. Considering that we have many players of different nationalities and a new coach, this is a very good result. Finding common ground in such a short period is incredibly important. I believe there’s still a lot to come, and we’ll show even more.
2. What have been the key factors in limiting the team to just three losses so far this season?
I think this is thanks to the coach and the players. The coach’s words of encouragement and the players’ hard work are key to our success.
3. On a personal level, how are you feeling?
I feel great now, trying to get back to my early-season form, as I recently had surgery and only played four games.
4. Looking ahead, what goals have you set for yourself?
I always set the highest goals for myself, but first and foremost it is to help the team and the national team win every match, and only then to focus on individual actions and progress with every second played.
